The auctioneer is busily cataloguing two sales, and so far these are by far his favourite finds!
Leslie Carr was an English artist and graphic designer. He served as a Lieutenant in the Tank Corps during WWI, and in the Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS) during WWII. Car is renowned for the iconic posters he produced for the UK railways in the the mid-20th century, but despite this remains a relatively unknown artist. At Anthemion Auctions we’re proud to be offering in our 17th February Fine Art Sale a substantial collection of his work including original watercolours, posters , original oil paintings, and sketches etc.
