We get our share of vehicles to auction, typically from deceased estates, and our 21st July Fine Art sale saw a 1985 Lotus Excel and a BSA pre-1962 motorcycle come under the hammer. Leading up to the auction we had a few people discover the car was here & hardly a day went by where we didn’t have a phone call or someone popping in to see if they could see the car and inevitably that led to a lot of excided potential buyers who also fell for the bike! The excitement heated up & we had phone lines booked for both the bike and the car, and there were bidders who came from all over the UK for the auction, to bid on it in the room. In the end, after some frantic bidding on the day, the two were sold to two separate buyers, two very happy buyers. The car’s new owner collected it first thing Monday morning, and was very happy with their purchase, some would say over the moon would be a good description! This was quickly followed by the collection of the motorbike, completing a hectic few days. We love to see our buyers so happy & hope they’ll send us pictures of their restored projects when finished. *Staffie not included 😉
