Anthemion Auctions operate a free valuation service to our clients for auction sale purposes. Members of the public always receive a warm welcome and we are pleased to offer a verbal opinion on the history and current market value of their chattels. We hold regular in house valuations on most Fridays from 10.00am to 4.00pm, please ring 029 2047 2444 to confirm that a Valuer is in attendance, however, should the Valuer be unavailable, objects can be safely left for later appraisal. Naturally, all our clients’ property is fully insured in our care.
Alternatively photographs of your objects can be sent to auction@anthemionauctions.com for appraisal.
Home visits can be arranged for the contents of a full house, where items cannot be brought to the saleroom for valuation. We regret we typically cannot attend properties in other cases. In this instance we would ask you to please email us digital photographs of the items you would like valued, and our valuer will email you back with auction estimates. Probate Valuations
Anthemion Auctions provide a prompt and professional service to legal professionals, executors and beneficiaries of deceased estates. The valuations we provide comply to the S160 Inheritance Tax Act 1984. We will also, when required, remove high risk items for safe keeping until the grant of probate and their subsequent sale.
Insurance Valuations
Anthemion Auctions can provide you with a valuation for Insurance purposes. It is extremely important that your treasured possessions are adequately insured against loss or theft. A bespoke Insurance valuation from Anthemion Auctions will contain a full description of your objects with an accompanying photograph to record your possessions accurately in the unfortunate situation of having to make a claim.
The value of an antique item or item of jewellery does not necessarily follow in line with inflation. The value of antique items is dictated by many factors including fashion, demand, style, economic factors such as precious metal fluctuating values, the strength of the pound etc, all contributing to the ultimate price of an object. A fully itemised record of your items with an up to date valuation will aid a quick and successful settlement of a claim.
At Anthemion Auctions we are governed by the regulations set down by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and you are protected via our codes of practice and Professional Indemnity insurance.
We have access to an extensive database of current values enabling an accurate assessment of your possessions. Our valuation service is competitively priced. We charge only for the time at the property on an hourly basis. All work undertaken for research away from the property and travelling expenses are borne by us.
An additional service of a re-valuation can be provided at regular intervals keeping your treasures covered with additions added or deleted depending on tastes and circumstances.
