ranks high on the list of “Things that sell well at Anthemion Auctions”, so we’re always happy to see it come in for sale. Not many people use it for everyday any more, which is kind of sad, so we come across a lot of it. We’re lucky in that we see some great pieces come in for sale, which range from the simple yet sleek, the ornate and truly beautiful to the quirky and unusual, like these guys:

And sometimes the beautiful can surprise us with how well it does at auction, like this centrepiece:
