On the 21st March the BBC Flog it! team will be attending Anthemion Auctions Fine Art and Antique Auction.
This sale, which will be attended by a few hundred members of the general public in addition to the Flog It! team, is available both to view and for bidding online.
Anthemion are accepting suitable items from the general public for this sale until the end of February, and offer free valuations days on Fridays between 10a.m and 4p.m
At the last Fine Art and Antique Auction held in November, Anthemion took in items including a five stone diamond ring, which was sold at auction for £800, a 19th century South Wales dresser, which was sold for £1,200 and a Donald MacIntyre painting, Church in Lleyn, which sold for £3000.

Items accepted for this sale are wide ranging, including jewellery, silver and metalwares, porcelain, glass, paintings, coins and collectables, weaponry and items of historic interest, maps, clocks, books, scientific instruments, furniture, miniatures and works of art.
The range of items sold at auction are as diverse as the homes they come from, some originating from large estates, others having been discovered tucked away in cupboards or garages in ordinary houses, and their values range from the tens to the thousands.
At Anthemion’s free valuation days on Fridays, the public are often able to discover what mystery items are used for/ where they have originated, what their current valuation would be for auction purposes and which type of auction they would be most suitable for.
Throughout the year, in addition to monthly general sales, there are two further Fine Art and Antique sales and two sporting memorabilia and collectors sales, so there are plenty of possibilities for those with items they wish to sell.
If you have items you would like to sell or are interested in having valued, please visit the auction rooms between 10 and 4 on a Friday, or call Anthemion Auctions on 02920 472444.
