Free valuation day for jewellery and household treasures

On Friday the 22nd June Anthemion Auctions will be holding a free valuation day to include jewellery, silverware, works of Art and many other items.

Anthemion are currently preparing their Fine Art and Antique Sale which will be held on Wednesday the 18th July, and will be accepting items to be entered into this sale on the valuation day.

In preparation for the last Fine Art Sale, which took place in March, members of the public brought in items including an emerald and diamond ring which went on to sell for £980, a Gentleman’s Breitling Colt Chronometre wristwatch, which sold for £750 and an opal and diamond bracelet, (as illustrated) which realised a total of £1,400.

An opal and diamond bracelet set with three cabouchon cut opals, and four cross shaped clusters of four old cut diamonds and centre rose cut diamonds to a double row of belchers chains estimated weight of opals 10.75 carats diamonds 1.50 carat. Sold for £1,400 at Anthemion Auctions

Frequently items of beautiful  or unusual jewellery have been owned for many years, but are simply not used;  owners therefore conclude that a sale at auction puts a better use to their value.

Whilst the current market is particularly favourable for those with jewellery to sell due to the high demand for gold and silver, the Fine Sale also offers sellers a chance to auction Antique Furniture, fine porcelain and glasswares, paintings and more specialist collectables such as maps and militaria.

The valuation day will be held between 10 am and 4pm on the 22nd June; in the meantime, should you have any queries about items you may wish to auction, please contact Anthemion Auctions on 02920 472444.
