An 18th century salt glazed commemorative teapot, decorated with a portrait of "Charlotta Regina", with a rose and other flowers, the other side painted with an angel on a cloud, 8.5cm high x 16cm wide, Charlotte (of Mecklenburg-Strelitz) was the German wife of King George III. She was Queen of Great Britain and Ireland from their marriage until the union of the two kingdoms in 1801, after which she was Queen of the United Kingdom .Queen Charlotte gave birth to 15 children and died in 1818.
