This November Anthemion Auctions in Cardiff hosts one of its most extensive and exciting Fine Art and Antique sales in memory.
The 1000 lots plus sale includes rare beauties such as an oil painting by Welsh Artist Kyffin Williams entitled Llanihangel Tinsilwy, depicting a magnificent Welsh landscape scene and boasting sale estimates of £20,000 to £30,000.
Amongst the eclectic and stunning jewellery collection on display, a 2 carat diamond Solitaire ring, as well as a truly unique and exquisite Victorian diamond pendant, offered for £8,000 to £10,000.
The range of items offered in the auction include a wide selection of antique furniture ranging from a George III oak dresser to an early 19th Century mahogany wine cooler. In addition to watercolours, oil paintings, prints and miniatures, there are numerous works of art, from fine linens and musical instruments to carved Meerschaum pipes, fine wood tea caddies, bronze figurines and assorted militaria.
There are nearly two hundred lots of fine pottery and porcelain including English, Welsh, continental and oriental pieces as well rare books, coins, medals and an extensive silver collection ranging from an Edward VII silver purse to a George V silver sideboard dish by Omar Ramsden, weighing in at nearly 2000 grams.
Anthemion are also fortunate to be able to offer in this sale an exclusive chess collection from a private vendor, comprising in excess of 50 separate sets, and including oriental and intricately carved stylised pieces in treen, bone and ivory.
