Spring Auction captures landscape of Welsh Art

Anthemion Auctions May Fine Art and Collector’s sale is set to excite interest among fans of Welsh Art. The sale boasts an array of stunning oil paintings, watercolours and prints, including of particular note, a collection of original signed prints by renowned Welsh artist Kyffin Williams. It also features three magnificent oil paintings by contemporary artist Jack Jones. Jones has been described as “The Welsh Lowry” and his scenes of streets in the Welsh valley towns, capturing everyday moments in a sometimes unforgiving industrial landscape, have sold through past auctions at Anthemion for several thousands.

The auction is also set to awaken the attention of toy collectors this spring, offering a large collection of original Star Wars toys, some boxed, and including the much coveted Millennium Falcon. Those fascinated by classic toys will also be drawn by a huge collection of boxed Dinky cars, Corgi cars and die cast models.

Also included in the auction on the 25th of May is a wide range of jewellery, including several striking  diamond rings, and a beautiful collection of silverware, as well as furniture, clocks, pottery and porcelain and works of art.

The auction house is open for viewing on Monday the 23rd and Tuesday the 24th of May, as well as on the morning of the auction.
